BTW: If sendmail is compiled with tcpwrappers (and I think the redhat supplied sendmail rpm is)... and you have ALL: ALL in /etc/hosts.deny, then make sure you add: sendmail: ALL all: 127.0.0.1 192.168.9.0/255.255.255.0 to /etc/hosts.allow Steve Cowles
