I'm a pretty big OSS advocate but there is a closed product called nod32 that
just blows away everything out there. And fast, I scanned around 30 gigs in 11 minutes.
I have not tried the linux version, but the windows one found trojan/virii on 
all 3 machines I've ran it on so far. Closed or not It's won many 'real' awards.
