I did a search and found the following note at: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-announce-list/2004-March/msg00053.html which describes the dependency and has a link to the requisite Berkeley DB file. If my eyes are seeing properly, DB4 is installed in FC1 (db4-4.1.25-14), which of course is more recent than the above required file from Ximian and confirmed by a review of the Sleepy Cat site at http://www.sleepycat.com/download/db/index.shtml Thus, presumably the FC1 Evolution maintainer has some work to do with respect to dependencies? Maybe I am missing something, but why would Ximian require an older version of the BDB? Does that make sense? The README file in the 3.1.17 tar file is from July of 2000. 4.1.25 is from December 2002 and there is a new version 4.2.52 from December 2003. From my review of the FC2 devel tree, 4.2.52 is included in FC2 so this issue is not going away. Is this a correct read of the situation? Thanks, Marc Schwartz
