Anyway, I'm looking to buy a new Dell 8100 desktop with dual 120g SATA
drives in a non RAID configuration. The only thing that is holding me
back is the uncertainty of FC1 being able to recognize the SATA drives,
and working correctly.

Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me so I can buy that new
pc? :)

FYI, I'm using kernel 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl, with all current updates using
yum, and my current PC is rock solid.

Thanks in advance.

New box with ASUS MB and SATA drives work great. I also have an IDE drive as I wasn't to sure about SATA when I purchased the computer. Latest kernel recognized the SATA controller and that it was a RAID controller. I am using md, not the MB RAID.

With this in mind, I boot off of the IDE drive and just use the SATA drives in a md RAID for /home.
