Having a bit of trouble getting kernel 2.6.4 installed... First attempt was with yum, it listed kernel-source, and some other dependencies, but not the actual kernel... Ok, fine... Let yum update all of those, and downloaded kernel-2.6.4-1.275.i686.rpm from arjanv's site... Then, I got this: $ sudo rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.4-1.275.i686.rpm Password: warning: kernel-2.6.4-1.275.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 9d6b4012 Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:kernel ########################################### [100%] WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.4-1.275/unsupported/drivers/video/sstfb.ko needs unknown symbol fb_find_mode WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.4-1.275/unsupported/drivers/video/aty/radeonfb.ko needs unknown symbol fb_find_mode WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.4-1.275/unsupported/drivers/video/aty/aty128fb.ko needs unknown symbol fb_find_mode WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.4-1.275/kernel/drivers/video/tridentfb.ko needs unknown symbol fb_find_mode /dev/mapper/control: open failed: No such file or directory Is device-mapper driver missing from kernel?
