hi Mark

I have a 56k link and a net install of Debian takes me
about 2-2 1/2 days... the Knoppix cd to harddrive
install takes about 20 minutes and judging by the
results I've had on a couple of older boxes one tends
to get a nearly perfect install or Debian...that way.
