Did you edit your /etc/mail/sendmail.mc? Specifically the line: DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA') You need to remove the Addr=127.0.0.1 portion, or sendmail will only listen on localhost. After you make the change, you need to do a "service sendmail restart".
