I think with a product like Nagios, you're better off
installing from .tar.gz and following the install
instructions provided on their website.

You really have no idea what Dag does to those RPM's
when he creates them (good work and praise to him for
doing this, but I previously used a dovecot release of
his on an FC1 test box and dovecot's config was
totally broken thereafter).

Nagios is one of those packages which is complex
enough to not be released on RPM and easy enough to be
installed from tarball.
