If simply upgrading from FC-1 to FC-2 is not recommended (or
encouraged), will anyone who wants to keep up-to-date be forced to do a
fresh install for each FC-X ("2-3 times a year"!)
Upgrading from a release such as FC-1 to another release such as FC-2 *is* supported and theoretically encouraged. I prefer fresh installs, but you *can* upgrade. Upgrading *from* a test or beta release to anything at all is not supported or encouraged.
