I use /srv/www. 

/var is a pretty weird place to keep web things, imho. /home is a bit
more logical. If I remember right, the new Linux filesystem standard
suggests /srv - anyone knows if Fedora/RH is going to implement this by
default at some point? (+ /media for cdrom and such instead of /mnt,
which would be reserved only for a temporary mountpoint. iirc this is
also in the coming standard)
