Perhaps I'm missing something but since this discussion has now evolved into creating documentation should it not be directed at the fedora-docs-list for possible assignment under that project?
Surely it would not be too much of an imposition to ask that folks with questions simply spend a few minutes reading the FAQs, the archives, and searching google before wasting the time of countless folks who are wading through this list each day trying to see if there is something they've missed along the way. I'm not sure why this is such a difficult concept to grasp. It would seem to be almost a default protocol when looking for something. People have been whining about getting flamed for asking questions a lot lately. From my perspective, it's a matter of courtesy. It's really rude to ask the folks who respond to this list questions that have been covered in a) FAQs, b) archives of this list, or c) are easily looked up on google. The folks who respond to this list are VOLUNTEERS. Most, if not all, have other employment (as well as families and/or lives). We do this because we want to share support for folks who, like us, have done the work up front and are willing to dig a bit before wasting everyone else's time. (damn, I hope that's correctly punctuated... <grin>) The bottom line for me is, don't ask until you've been through the steps outlined above as a minimum. If you are unsure about posting etiquette, find a list to learn on other than this one unless you wear asbestos underwear. Beyond that, the folks who want to further document this should take this discussion to the docs-list.
My $.02
