The only time that I have had to do reboots on any of the listed boxes except for fedora desktops is to upgrade hardware. I always do full installs then turn off any unused and unneeded services. On the desktops, there were 2 situations when I needed to reboot do to an update. I regularily apply all available updates for desktops using yum update, but our servers are not publically accessable and are behind 3 firewalls. For this reason, I have not found it necessary to keept our servers as up to date. We have 2 servers running redhat 6.x We have 4 servers running redhat 7.x We have 3 servers running redhat 8 We have 3 servers running redhat 9
