This is my first Linux > migration as I started with RHL 9 so any help would be appreciated. I've only upgraded 1 redhat9 install to fc1. It went fairly well, except I never was able to get the graphical init boot stuff working. my pointer is for identifying non-standard rpms you have installed. Install yum and only point to Redhat 9 base and upgrades servers in your yum.conf file. Then use the command 'yum list extras' yum will list the rpms installed on your system that don't exist in the repositories.
