Thanks for the update. I just found a copy of the Linux version of "Descent
3" laying around from Loki that has the same requirements. I've got a copy
of Redhat 7.3 and a spare machine that's just above the "recommended"
hardware listed on the box.
  This gives me motivation to give it a try.
