The runlevels used by RHS are: # 0 - halt (Do NOT set initdefault to this) # 1 - Single user mode # 2 - Multiuser, without NFS (The same as 3, if you do not have networking) # 3 - Full multiuser mode # 4 - unused # 5 - X11 # 6 - reboot (Do NOT set initdefault to this) Right after it, your default runlevel: id:5:initdefault: So, it seems that I have a boot with X enabled. You can change this, for instance, to runlevel 3, when you have issues with X in general. This would require a reboot, though. You can also type "telinit 3" on a console window, as root, so everything from runlevel 5 is closed. Very useful to close X and gdm (fedora's login screen) for a while. To got back to runlevel 5, a "telinit 5" will do. -- []s Alexandre Ganso 500 FOUR vermelha - Diretor Steel Goose Moto Group
