(1) Can you upgrade to v.4? It works flawlessly (so far at least) with FC1 and VMwareWorkstation-4.0.5-6030). (2) Run vmware-config.pl as follows: CC=gcc32 vmware-config.pl The kernel is compiled with gcc32. Modules should be compiled the same way. (If you installed kernel development packages, you should have gcc32-3.2.3-6 installed. (3) vmware 3.2 has some issues with recent kernels.
