There's an interesting story there for folks with laptops that lack a floppy AND lack Windows :-) Thanks to a tip from a friend I found I was able to make a bootable CD with a Windows 98 emergency diskette image on it. IIRC the trick was using mkisofs in El Torito mode (-b). This boots into DOS, I can then swap out that boot CD with another CDR with the Dell BIOS update image in it, which can run from DOS. - -Andy - -- Find your answer without waiting for replies....
