As for what 'yarrow' normally means...
[bevan@saladin ~]> dict yarrow
From WordNet (r) 2.0 [wn]:

 yarrow
      n : ubiquitous strong-scented mat-forming Eurasian herb of
wasteland, hedgerow or pasture having narrow serrate
leaves and small usually white florets; widely
naturalized in North America [syn: {milfoil}, {Achillea
          millefolium}]

IIRC, yarrow is a good herbal cure for toothache as well.. chew the leaves as needed.

Interesting choice really :)

I also know of a leaf to cure toothaches ;)
