Aften than you have downloaded the alsa-driver from alsa project site you can
run this command:
I install alsa driver on my A7V8X-X but I belive that you can chage only the
type of card or add other option.

# cd /usr/src/modules
 # tar xjf alsa-driver-1.x.x.tar.bz2
 # cd alsa-driver-1.x.x
 # ./configure --with-cards=YOUR CADR --with-sequencer=IF YOU HAVE A
SEQUENCEER
 #make
 # make install
 # ./snddevices

for more configure option ./configure --help
