replacing MS Access - experiences?

We use MS Access extensively as a front-end to our Postgresql databases.
Has anyone successfully replaced MS Access with a Linux tool, for
simple-to-moderately-complex queries and reports? I'd like something
that a secretary can use, not a database designer or coder.
I know Rekall is out there, but I've never had good luck with it
(crashes when designing queries, can't compile, non-obvious GUI,
strangely structured web site, generally bad karma, etc).
PgAdmin is -great- for administering psql - I guess I need the
PgSecretary package :-)
