I have a Fedora C1 box that was working correctly from several months. Yesterday I have rebooted after the upgrade to the new kernel 2.4.22-1.2166.nptl and only after that reboot I have found this sequence of errors: 2004-02-17 13:39:27 Kernel.Error 195.223.196.13 kernel: eth1: Transmit error, Tx status register 82. 2004-02-17 13:39:27 Kernel.Error 195.223.196.13 kernel: Probably a duplex mismatch. I have no idea of how duplex is set harware level but for sure it was never changed between reboot. The card is connected to a plain 10Mbps hub so there should be no problem about auto-negotiation. Is that a problem with the new kernel? What should I do? Switch to the old kernel? Thanks Gianni Bragante
