I have actually found a better solution for doorstops, systems running osX seem to be amazingly good for this, I've yet to find anything else they do worth a damn, but great doorstops they are.
Speaking of which, did anyone see that spoof for "the most solid version of Windows"? A mixture of Windows "CE", "Me", and "NT" gave birth to the actually useful "Windows CEMENT". Now /that/ would make one hell of a doorstop.
