Use the rpm command on the command line: it's very powerful and includes everything you need to list packages, dependencies, and to map individual files to associated packages. You can get information about a package (rpm -q -i <package name>), get a list of installed files (rpm -q -l <package name>), view each packages changelog (rpm -q --changelog <package name>), list all packages on the system (rpm -qa), and much more. Try saving your favorite queries in a simple shell script and if you're in love with the GUI make an icon for your script. Ron "Ricardo A.
