First, I would go to: http://www.memtest86.com/#download0 and download the iso for memtest86 v3.0, burn the iso image to cd, and boot from it. Let it run for at least 5 passes. If you don't have access to a burner, there is a version that will boot and run from a floppy. Look at /var/log/messages and go to the date and time of the hang and see if you see any errors. You could post those here. Look at /var/log/XFree86.0.log Try typing dmesg and looking for anything unusual there. You might also do a: lspci and post the results. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFAMQmBL6ubqSVs8LERAm+fAJ9N4/7coJvC4u+uktbeZY7yvJJeZgCfY4Us MnvMJzfgUpnaEptW2Og9TU0= =x+qW -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
