With "../rhn/sources" you mean /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources?

The actual official up2date package for FC1 can not handle RHN channels.
Comment "up2date default" with a leading # in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources
file.

Do not use up2date with RHN.
