I am running Fedora Core Release 1 with the 2.6.2-1.180 kernel.
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01a19 is the version of cdrecord that I have.
Basically cdrecord is no longer working:

ide-scsi is disabled. If you use cdrecord you need to use
cdrecord --dev=/dev/hdc
