I'd say that if you already have Fedora installed tough it out. You've 
already made it past the one hurdle that trips up alot of people, that 
is just getting the system installed in the first place. After that the 
learning curve is just about equal from one distribution to the next.
If you want a distribution to test things out with try one of the live 
CD distributions like Knoppix, or PCLinuxOS, if anything the make great 
rescue disks!
