I'd love to see Core on 1-2 CDs plus optional Extras CDs. A basic set of Extras ISOs could be made available at each release. Basically, put the core OS on 1 CD then everything else (servers, development, multimedia, etc) on optional CDs 2,3,4,5... Maybe even provide a tool to generate custom ISOs from a YUM repository for selected packages and their dependencies. For example, one could make new/updated Extras CDs between major releases.
