Hi I installed the new kernel, and suddenly the boot sequence hangs solid when initializing the firewire module. Clearly something changed inside 2166 wrt 2149 for what concerns ieee1394/ohci1394/sbp2 initialization. Can anybody confirm that the kernel is now initializing them "immediately", like in RH9? Anyway, on a Dell Latitude D800, Centrino 1.7 GHz, the only way to boot with 2166 is either a) to physically disconnect all firewire drivers, or b) put alias ieee1394-controller off inside modules.conf (still spits a lot of error messages about sbp2 devices just at the beginning of boot). Rebooting on 2149 does not give any problem Any help/comment particularly from RH guys is welcome.
