Hi Brian, IMHO it is necessary to point out such mistakes, because they're usually made by people that are simply not aware of basic netiquette principles and, contrary to you, are willing to learn and practice them to help making this list more readable. It is sad to hear you say "I have never followed these advices, not about to start now". Thread hijacking, 'untrimmed' posts etc. _are_ indeed a serious problem, and any help on educating people about them (in a polite way, of course) is valid and will improve overall experience.
