Re: Promise SATA drivers for Fedora Core 1

even i was able to compile them for
2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp
(on a different m/c running 2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp )

and i even tried loading them while installing FC1
but it gave an error saying it is not for kernel
2.4.22-1.2115.nptlBOOT

i saw the precompiled binaries i got for rh9,
it had a file modules.cgz, which actually had the drivers for all kernels
it supported.

i tried to compile this new one and put it in the same format...
but, i am running, 2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp. how do i compile the driver for
2.4.22-1.2115.nptl and 2.4.22-1.2115.nptlBOOT

the driver failed to load...
i have rh9 running on the system
but i want to install a fresh FC1 on it

i even tried to build 2.6.2(in rh9), which had the same problem, the
ft3xx.o was not for that kernel

now what do i do?

Regards,
Jeetu
