Well folks, right now I am using a beautiful Mozilla Browser which loads pages at a surprising speed. It turned out my resolv.conf was absolutely empty! It's incredible what a single line will do. Adding nameserver and a DNS IP did it. I would like to thank the four guys who answered so promptly: while I was having supper you were out there posting messages.
