Perhaps you could do 'rm ~/.Real*' and try again? I've successfully
used the following with rh9

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 realplay

BTW: once the realplayer codecs are installed - you can copy/link them
into the location /usr/lib/win32 - and other players like mplayer/xine
can now pick this up - and play .rm files.
