After running sa-learn spamassassin works fine for me:

sa-learn --mbox --showdots --local --spam
/home/reinhard/evolution/local/Spam/mbox

sa-learn --mbox --showdots --local --ham
/home/reinhard/evolution/local/NoSpam/mbox
