Hi:
I tried to build PHP 5 beta 3 with no success ... I used the spec file from 4.3.4-11 source rpm. It does the following error:
[snip] libtool: link: `ext/libxml/libxml.lo' is not a valid libtool object make: *** [sapi/cgi/php] Error 1 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.86751 (%build) [snip]
What is wrong with it? Can someone, please, point me in the right direction? Thanks, Marian
Try compiling PHP 5 from source, looking out the "configure"'s options. There are some changes from PHP 4. After that, just use there options within specfile. Since PHP 5 is heavily based on libxml2, so be aware to use it's latest release.
