Ulrick > You might want to look at a program called CheckInstall. It basically creates an RPM during the install process and stores it in the RPM database. You can easily uninstall the package any time later with a rpm -e. Another advantage is that you can always reinstall the application with the created RPM rather than recompiling the source. You can download it from http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/ or apt-get the prebuilt RPM from DAG repository. HTH, Prakash
