Which part are you having trouble with?

First you need to change:
id:5:initdefault:
to 
id:3:initdefault:

in /etc/inittab and then reboot so X isn't running.
Log in and run the program at the command line and follow instructions.

I think you then need to configure your XFree86Config file in /etc/X11/
accordingly. You'll need to change "nv" to "nvidia".
