Is there a Java plugin that works with Fedora and gcc-3.3.2. The latest from Sun crashes Mozilla 1.6.

I use the whole thing, that is a symlink

/usr/lib/mozila-1.6/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /opt/j2sdk_nb/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so

and have in my PATH in .bash_profile for the java_vm java virtual machine:
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/j2sdk_nb/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/bin

But you could also have the smaller jre or j2sdk distrubution. Look at the documentation at http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/java.html
