Everyone,

I am having a little trouble getting my first Fedora system to boot. I
think I am having trouble with the 'first time boot' script on the gui
interface. Is there a way to change the run level to 3 by changing the boot
statements in grub in order to bypass the first time boot script on the gui
interface?

chkconfig --level 12345 firstboot off

edit /etc/inittab to change runlevel to 3

Is there a way to tell at boot prompt which runlevel to start?

The easiest is to do append " single" to the end of the boot command to come up in single user mode. Edit /etc/inittab and exit.
