From my own experience ACPI has influnce on many many things. IIRC some SuSE systems with certain kernel didn't boot without the acpi=off.

Danke für das Angebot, aber die Maus läuft über einen KVM-Switch mit PS/2-Steckern, dann brauch ich zu meinem HID-Interface noch einen usb/ps-2 adapter ;-)

I was telling Roger that I have a USB Mouse left over and I could send it to him.
He was thankful and mentioned that he would also need an USB->PS/2 adaptor, cause he is using the mouse on a KVM Switch.
