Thanks for the help.... I have since tried a suggested alternate burn software, fireburner. and received the same block measure error. Is that error and acceptable condition? I am guessing not. Additionally I didn't mention that I am burning these CD on an XP machine. (a temporary fact I am hoping to correct with fedora). -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of KBB0927@xxxxxx Sent: Friday, January 16, 2004 06:18 PM To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: ISO's and CD burning with Nero Express I just burned the iso for the first time and used Nero Express, did not do a media check and installed Fedora in VMware 4.0 without a hitch. Of note, was that I accepted the default burn rate of 4x. I had a problem with Nero (not express) burning bad images even though the downloads were fine. Turned out that it burned bad images until I had it try burning at 4x, rather than anything higher like 24x or 48x (I have a 52x burner). At anyrate, give that a shot. Start low and work your way lower until you're at the lowest burning speed your burner can do. > >HTH, > >Alex > >-- >If you understand, things are just as they are; if you do not understand, things are just as they are. --Spoken in Zen > -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
