Hernan asked about Fedora (see subject), everybody answered 
"because Red Hat ...".

The NTFS driver is GPL'd. If there were indeed patents as claimed but
never pointed out then in _some_ countries this is of course showstopper.

So what does fedora.redhat.com say officially?
