Brian / all:
I did the insmod and got:
Using /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o: unresolved symbol video_register_device_Rd73caf34 /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o: unresolved symbol video_devdata_R24367f36 /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o: unresolved symbol video_proc_entry_R5aed8078 /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o: unresolved symbol video_unregister_device_R00d4043b /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2140.nptl/kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o: unresolved symbol video_usercopy_Rd46ee9a6
xawtv (once installed) gives a blank (green) screen and reports:
"Xlib: extension "Free86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
I Googled on that and found that "load dri" is already in my XF86Config. The machine is a Toshiba Tecra 8000 with a NeoMagic 256 card.
Any further insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
