Is it the PCMCIA card (Cisco model AIR-PCM352) you have installed in the T30?
I downloaded the kernel-module-airo_mpi for my kernel and platform, installed it, but no difference.
The problem is when I try 'ifup eth1'
I 'tail -f /var/log/messages' and see it is trying to contact DHCP with an AP of F:F:F:F:F. I previously used iwconfig to set all the parameters: essid, key, etc. After I run 'ifup eth1,' then run 'iwconfig,' all these variables are reset to null.

Please try:
http://dag.wieers.com/packages/kernel-module-airo_mpi/
And then use redhat-config-network to configure it. I've been hapily
using it on my T30 without major problems. If you add the apt/yum
repository you can simply fetch the kernel-module-airo_mpi package for
your kernel.
You could also try out the Cisco driver (which doesn't work with
redhat-config-network) but with the acu (Cisco's Aironet Config Utility).

I would recommend the first one and only do the second one if you'd like
to use Cisco's utility for some reason.
Kind regards,
