Rodolfo is correct.
Simple questions:
Do you own a domain that you also want to use?
Why not just copy /etc/host files for now?
What does not work with a simple caching name server?
DNS provides lots of record types. Which matter?
	Are you playing with IPV6?
Does you connection to the internet have a fixed
	or a dynamic IP address?
Are the boxes inside using DHCP or fixed host names and IP addresses?

For now just decide where you keep your master /etc/host file
and copy that to all the hosts after it is updated.
