I feel something like apt-setup used on Debian would be ok. It is easy to use and could be integrated to the "setup" tool list (I mean the options you get when typing on console the command setup). You run it once to put your sources from a list of mirror servers into the apt.souces list. You can run it again if you later prefer other sources.
