You're stating the obvious for someone who has been involved with the listserve for a while or maybe someone who knows all the rules and procedures. Sorry, I'm a mainframer trying to get my feet wet in the linux world. I have no problem complying, and I try to solve my issues on my own before bringing them forth to "anyone". I do appreciate the help though. It turns out that I needed to run "updatedb", and I was able to then find the correct path: /usr/lib/mozilla-1.4.1. Thank anyway. By the way, the locate command was helpful.

That's not the correct path - unless you want to relink every time you
upgrade. Plugins belong in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

It is correct -- Macromedia's flash installer script doesn't want the plugins directory - it wants /usr/lib/mozilla-<version>/
