Well, I forced the xmms-mpg-1.2.7 and it worked.
I just wanted to tryout Rhythm Box. My Archos is full of MP3s, that is why I want to play that format.
I wish I could convert my Archos to play OGG. But the guys over at Rockbox dont see that happenin'

Known issue. But with limited human resources it's not easily possible to put out timely add-on packages. Removal of some of the packages from fedora.us has increased the workload a lot for some important packagers as they work on setting up missing infrastructure.
