Thanks, but I'm not using smart host. Its commented out with dnl. I've sussed it now. It seems saslauthd wasn't started. See my other email about bug in chkconfig. Cheers. Dave. I can't believe I did that ;-) I picked up on the # missing and missed the dnl. Mind it did me some good as it made check the bat book to remind me what dnl actually does. Page 147/8 which is a hundred + pages after where my book mark is ! It's going to deep for me now so you won't be bothered by me again. Regards Roger
