OK. I installed kernel-unsupported-modules-2.6.0-0.test10.1.95 in addition to kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl (and upgraded to kernel-utils-2.4-9.1.102 from the same place). I am now getting a different error number trying to mount the root filesystem. Here's what happens now: Mounting root filesystem mount: error 6 mounting reiserfs pivotroot: pivot_root (/sysroot, /sysroot/initrd) failed: 2 umount /initrd/proc failed: 2 Freeing unused kernel memory: 132k freed Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. I looked into the initrd image in /boot and found lib/reiserfs.ko so I'm not sure what's going on now. -- John Florian <bhbmvpzm@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
